Congress passed a 680-page stimulus bill, and the 1,248-page Public Land Management Act. Do you really think Congress read this mess before making it law?
Our founding fathers had a radical idea in this thing called democracy. It is up to us to make sure our government is run the way 300 million Americans want it operated, and not the way politicians want to abuse it.
When Congress passes laws they haven't read and don't understand, how is that better than a King issuing decrees? How are the people better represented?
You know they didn't read, and therefore couldn't really understand, the 680 page "stimulus" bill or the 1,248 page "land" bill.
Both the "stimulus" bill and the "land" bill were stuffed with many unrelated proposals. All of which deserved to be debated and voted on as individual proposals on their own merits.
