Coraline a Fantastic Animation

I watched Coraline, in RealD (3D), and man was it great. A creepy nightmarish story of alternate worlds. I highly recommend it. Take note of the PG rating as it may be inappropriate for children.

The animation was absolutely top notch stop motion animation. Fluid movements and attention to detail. I am a huge Chuck Jones fan and I appricate really good animation were details receive appropriate attention.

As I was walking out of the the movie, most of the comments I heard other movie goes make was that Coraline was not for kids, and I agree. The theature was full of children.

I would also like to point out that not all animations are for children. A PG rating doesn't mean turn your children loose on the move. The first sentence of the PG rating from the Motion Picture Association of America is, "A PG-rated motion picture should be investigated by parents before they let their younger children attend."

I also checked out the Coraline website, and while cool, I found it to be on the slow side. In addition to learning a little about the move, the website has some cool little attractions. Such as allowing you to upload an image and put buttons on your eyes in the Other Mother's workshop, or spell your name in the Mouse Circus tent.

If you get the chance to see this movie in 3D then go do it.
