I recently worked on a project where I had to link tables from a MySQL database on a website to an Access Database on a desktop computer. Searching the web I found a good amount of information about getting the Access Data into a MySQL database but nothing useful on going the other way around. So I thought I would share my process of importing and linking MySQL databases with Microsoft Access.

In the following steps I am using Access 2003. I have included pictures to help illustrate the steps, click the read more link to view the full article.

ComicBook MOD for the SubDreamer Image Gallery

By Stephen R. Owens - Published: August 26, 2008

I created the Comicbook MOD for the SubDreamer CMS (SD) Image Gallery, from the requests of a few members over at SubDreamer.org, and out of personal need. This mod started out for just comic books but it has grown and I added in features as people requested them. Normally I promote Open Source projects, but SD is one of the few commercial products that I enjoy working with. Provides an easy platform upon which to build.

I am sure in future releases of SD it will have the extra features I added to the Image Gallery via this ComicBook MOD. The features I added: pagination, a page jump menu, and the ability to define image gallery sections as comic books or animations.

A sample of the Comic Book section, with pagination and the page jump menu, can be seen by viewing my Sidekicks Comic (this comic was created with the help of Josh Mitchell).

A sample of the Animation section, can be seen by viewing one of my animations.

Download:
If you are a licensed SD user then you can download the ComicBook MOD for free from SubDreamer.org.

I manage the support thread for the mod over at SubDreamer.org
